I'm not usually a huge John Piper fan, but...

...I wholeheartedly agree with the following entry on his blog! Well done, brother!

http://theologica.blogspot.com/2009/01/piper-responds-to-obama-on-abortion.html

While John Piper and I will probably never see eye-to-eye on many things theologically (that is, "in-house"!), I stand behind him 100% when it comes to advancing the Kingdom by proclaiming the truth that ALL human beings are created in God's image and are deserving of life.

May President Obama's heart be softened and his mind opened to this basic human right!

Ah Come on JM - You may not like his aversion to Calvanism, but I think he is right on with the satisfied theology stuff... What are you thoughts on that?

Aversion?? Piper's the posterchild for Calvinism. Or did you mean to say "affinity"?

As for satisfied theology, are you talking about his Christian Hedonism ideas? If so, yeah, I'm down with that. Except that it should be qualified so that it doesn't lead to the belief that if we're not 'happy' then we're not fully in God's will. Not even Jesus was always ecstatic about the consequences of glorifying God (i.e. Gethsemane).

Good call - affinity is the better word.

And yes I am talking about his Christian Hedonism...
